Lake Nona is the newest part of town our crew works, a master-planned district out by the airport in southeast Orlando where Medical City and the 417 anchor block after block of recently built homes, townhomes, and apartments. The moves here are different from the old neighborhoods: smart-home townhomes with three-story floor plans, high-rise apartments near the Town Center, and young professionals and clinicians relocating for jobs at the medical campus. Danny Cruz started 1 Man 1 Van in 2013 and runs every Lake Nona job on our own vans with our own W-2 crew, never a subcontractor.
How 1 Man 1 Van works Medical City and the 417 corridor
New construction and tall townhomes set the plan out here, so Danny lines up access before the van leaves the yard.
- Three-story townhomes near Laureate Park — tall stair runs and tucked garages, so we plan the climb and pad the turns ahead of time.
- High-rise apartments by the Town Center — we reserve the freight elevator and a loading dock window before the day.
- New single-family homes off the 417 — wide driveways where we back the van up and load efficiently.
- Medical campus relocations — clinicians and staff arriving for work at Medical City who need an early start before a shift.
A flat written rate set before move day
✓ Our crew, our trucks
- The voice on the line is Danny, or a teammate at his desk — never some phone bank
- Come move day, the bill you hand over equals that one written figure down to the dollar
- The same 1 Man 1 Van crew loads and unloads, every time
- Coverage runs to $1M on the load, and your property office gets a certificate the same day
- Claims stay in-house — Danny signs off himself
× Broker chain
- Your details get passed around a phone room, then sold off downstream
- Quote rebilled at delivery for “extras”
- Each visit, a truck you have never seen pulls up with a crew you do not know
- Generic certificate, COI is a fight
- “Not our crew” runaround on damage claims
Danny writes your Lake Nona rate down before we start, and it does not budge. Two movers bill at $110/hr, three at $150/hr, and four at $195/hr, but most homes take a flat band instead. A studio near the Town Center is $350 to $560, a one-bedroom is $560 to $920, a two-bedroom townhome is $920 to $1,550, and a three-bedroom is $1,550 to $2,550. The tall stair runs are folded into that number, not tacked on after.
| Move size | Typical flat rate |
|---|---|
| 1-bed high-rise by the Town Center | $560–$920 |
| 3-story townhome near Laureate Park | $1,550–$2,550 |
A three-story stair run and a Medical City shift start never raise your bill
You signed off on a flat written rate, so a tall townhome climb and an early start before your hospital shift are ours to handle. We move early to beat the southeast Orlando heat, and your goods ride under $1M cargo coverage with full-value protection available.
Relocating from Lake Nona to another state for a medical or tech job? 1 Man 1 Van runs long-distance with our own equipment, so the crew that carries your boxes down the townhome stairs is the crew that brings them up at the far end. Call Danny at (888) 711-4778.
