Winter Garden is one of the fastest-growing corners of the metro, out on the west side off SR-50 and the 429, and the moves here split cleanly between the old and the new. There is the historic downtown along Plant Street with its restored brick storefronts and the West Orange Trail running through, and then there are the big new subdivisions in Horizon West and around Hamlin going up by the season. Danny Cruz, who started 1 Man 1 Van in 2013, runs all of it on our own vans with our own W-2 crew, from a bungalow off Plant Street to a four-bedroom in a brand-new community.
The two Winter Gardens 1 Man 1 Van loads
Old downtown and new Horizon West each ask for a different plan, and Danny sets it before move day.
- Historic homes near Plant Street downtown — older bungalows on tight lots near the West Orange Trail, where we stage the van close and hand-carry across the path.
- New subdivisions in Horizon West and Hamlin — large recently built homes with wide driveways where we back the van right up.
- Townhomes and apartments off the 429 — we reserve the elevator or work the exterior stairs and fold that into the price.
- Trail-side streets — the West Orange Trail crosses several roads, so Danny positions the van where it will not block cyclists or traffic.
A written rate that holds, with storage on hand if your closing date moves
✓ Our crew, our trucks
- The voice on the line is Danny, or a teammate at his desk — never some phone bank
- Come move day, the bill you hand over equals that one written figure down to the dollar
- The same 1 Man 1 Van crew loads and unloads, every time
- Coverage runs to $1M on the load, and your property office gets a certificate the same day
- Claims stay in-house — Danny signs off himself
× Broker chain
- Your details get passed around a phone room, then sold off downstream
- Quote rebilled at delivery for “extras”
- Each visit, a truck you have never seen pulls up with a crew you do not know
- Generic certificate, COI is a fight
- “Not our crew” runaround on damage claims
Danny writes your Winter Garden rate up front and it holds through move day. Hourly is $110/hr for two movers, $150/hr for three, and $195/hr for four, though most homes take a flat band: a one-bedroom is $560 to $920, a three-bedroom is $1,550 to $2,550, and a four-bedroom in a new community is $2,450 to $3,900. If your build date and your move-out miss, climate-controlled storage is about $90 to $220 a month by size.
| Move size | Typical flat rate |
|---|---|
| 3-bed home in Horizon West | $1,550–$2,550 |
| 4-bed in a new community | $2,450–$3,900 |
A new-build closing delay never moves your number
The rate is flat and written, so a builder pushing your closing date and a tight downtown lot near the West Orange Trail are our problem to solve. We start early to beat the summer heat and afternoon storms, and everything rides under $1M cargo coverage with a nine-month claim window.
Moving out of Winter Garden to another state? 1 Man 1 Van drives long-distance with our own vans, so the crew that packs your home off Plant Street or out in Horizon West is the crew that delivers it. Call Danny at (888) 711-4778.
